Two suspects are identified and arrested for strong arm robbery

SUSPECT(S): Carl Young, age 20, resident of Apple Valley
Dorthy Shaw, age 20, resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM: Caitlin Foreman, age 19, resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, May 5, 2019, at approximately 11:39 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Apple Valley Station, responded to a robbery call in the 15000 block of Tuscola Road.
Upon arrival, deputies were advised the victim, Caitlin Foreman, was sitting in her vehicle parked in front of the location. A vehicle pulled up next to her and two subjects exited the vehicle. One subject opened the driver door of the victim’s vehicle, pulling her out along with her purse. The other subject walked over to the victim grapping her purse from her person and striking her in the process. Both subjects entered the vehicle they arrived in and left the scene.
Through further investigation, the suspects were identified as Carl Young and Dorthy Shaw. They were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for violation of PC 211, Robbery- Strong Arm. Young and Shaw are being held on $100,000 bail.
