Phone scammers using spoofed local law enforcement phone numbers. 
The JHPD non-emergency phone number, 412-655-2222, has been spoofed by scammers to appear as if the JHPD is calling. The “officer” then asks for personal information and provides further directions to the victim. Reminder: don’t fall victim to phone scams. Caller ID can’t be trusted. Never give any personal information. End the conversation. Do a reverse phone number lookup or check with the agency or organization that they said they were calling from to verify the information.
