The National Weather Service of Amarillo is very concerned about severe weather today. There is a higher than normal threat today for tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds. The highest concern could be affected the central and eastern Texas Panhandle into the eastern Oklahoma Panhandle. Storms are expected to form between 2-8 pm in the western half of the Texas Panhandle, and 4-midnight in the eastern half. Check and double check your preparedness plan.
