* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches with the heaviest snowfall expected above 9,000 ft. The most significant impacts are expected during the overnight hours tonight and again Thursday night.

* WHERE...Northwest San Juan Mountains and Southwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...From this afternoon through late Thursday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWESTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
