ARMED ROBBERY - GOOD TO GO (WINAMAC)

On May 9, 2019 at approximately 1:22 a.m., the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery at the Good to Go Gas Station located in the 1200 block of U.S. Highway 35, Winamac, Indiana

The gas station attendant reported she was confronted by a male subject wearing a ski mask and all black clothing. The male was observed to be in possession of a black semi-automatic firearm. The male subject made demands for money out of the register and gas station attendant cooperated. The male subject was given the money from the register and fled the gas station.

Law enforcement units from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and Winamac Police Department responded to the area. Deputy Branson Eber discovered additional information and was able to quickly identify the suspect as Dylan Sommers, 26, of Winamac, Indiana. Sommers was found to have an address in the 200 block of West 12th Street, Winamac, Indiana.

Sommers was located at the residence and taken into custody. A search warrant was obtained for the residence in reference to this investigation. Deputies located items related to the armed robbery as well as controlled substances and paraphernalia while serving the search warrant.

Sommers was transported to the Pulaski County Jail where his is being held on the charges of Armed Robbery, Level 5 Felony, Intimidation, Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Syringe, Level 6 Felony, Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
