Boater’s Education Cards Required

Are you aware that a boater’s education card is required for the legal operation of a vessel in Washington State?

Summer is upon us and many people will be headed to our local waterways to enjoy some fun in the sun.  If you were born after 1955, and are at least 12 years old, you will need a Boater’s Education Card to operate a vessel.  The Marine Patrol division of the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office will be checking boaters in our area and will be enforcing this rule.

Our Certified Boating Education Instructor, Mr. Charlie Schaefer, is happy to provide classes to those in need.

Classes are currently scheduled for:  May 18,19 and June 8,9

Location:  325272 SR 2 (Fire Dist. 3 Station in Diamond Lake)
Time: 9 AM – 3 PM  (please arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in)

Call Mr. Schaefer at (509)447-2279 or (208)610-4248 if you have any questions or if you would like to have a class set up in other areas of our county.
