After a stand off lasting several hours, Joanner Arce was arrested for Assault & Domestic Battery

SUSPECT: Joanner Paulus Arce, 34 years old, resident of Silverwood
VICTIM: Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at approximately 7:05 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Twin Peaks Station, responded to an assault with a deadly weapon investigation at the Silverwood Lake Campground. Arce got into a physical altercation with the victim striking him several times with a large flashlight. The victim fled the motorhome to safety and was interviewed by deputies. The victim informed deputies the suspect had access to several firearms inside the motorhome and was a combat veteran from Iraq. Arce barricaded himself inside the motorhome and refused to come out.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Specialized Enforcement Division was called to assist. After several hours, Arce came out of the motorhome and was taken into custody without incident.
Arce was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Domestic Battery and was transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
