WINAMAC VFW INTIMIDATION ARREST

On May 11, 2019 at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a subject threatening to stab a DJ at the VFW Winamac Post 1728 located in the 1200 black of South Monticello Street. The caller was reportedly unsure if the suspect was still present at the establishment or if the suspect had fled the area.

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the victim of the incident. The suspect was identified as Patrick B. Blankenship, 57, of Winamac, Indiana. Blankenship was found to have left the establishment and was later located at his residence in the 700 block of South Huddleston Street, Winamac, Indiana.

Blankenship refused to exit the residence and speak with deputies after being observed inside of the residence. Deputies applied for a Search Warrant for the residence which was later issued out of Pulaski County Superior Court. Deputies executed the Search Warrant and located Blankenship inside of the residence.

Blankenship was taken into custody and transported to the Pulaski County Jail where is was booked in on the charge of Intimidation, a Level 6 Felony.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was assisted with this incident by the Winamac Police Department.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
