Fremont Police Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance to locate 31 year old Antonio Harris, wanted in connection with a felony battery investigation that occurred March 31, 2019.
On March 31, 2019, at approximately 2:25 a.m., patrol officers responded to a fight at the Denny’s restaurant located in the 5200 block of Mowry Ave. After arriving, officers learned the incident began with an argument between a male customer (Antonio Harris) and restaurant employees. Harris was working for a food delivery service and was frustrated over the amount of time the order was taking. During the argument, another male customer (34 year old, Fremont resident) attempted to intervene. The two men left the lobby of the restaurant and got into a physical altercation just outside the entrance. The 34 year old suffered several significant injuries to his mouth during the fight. Harris immediately fled the scene and was not located by responding officers.
Through investigative leads, it was learned that 31 year old Antonio Harris (Fremont resident/transient), was the suspect in this case. Based on photo and video evidence, officers authored a probable cause arrest warrant for Harris, which was signed by an Alameda County Judge on April 2, 2019.
Over the last several weeks members from multiple units within the Department have attempted to locate Harris. Harris is aware officers are looking for him. He is transient and likely staying with friends and family between the cities of Fremont and Oakland.
Harris has a large ‘GOD’ tattoo across his forehead and others on his left and right arms.
