Today looks like the Texas Panhandle, including Canyon and Amarillo, should prepare for a dangerous weather event. This morning has already shown that the atmosphere is prone to bad weather. Canyon has already seen rain and hail. Late morning and early afternoon, we should have another system come through with severe weather including hail, damaging winds and possible tornadoes. This afternoon and into the early evening, we should see the weather get even worse. Large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are possible. We are in an enhanced area, adjacent to a moderate area where large damaging tornadoes are possible. Keep your eye to the sky, and stay tune to your local weather source for development.
