Temporary Emergency Shelter

Please share, share, share!

As the rain continues we are experiencing flooding throughout portions of our creek system, which is affecting some houses.

We are opening the Cushing Youth and Community Center, 700 S. Little Avenue, as a temporary emergency shelter. We have staff making an area inside the youth center ready for anyone adversely affected by the heavy rains. We will continue to operate the emergency shelter for as long as necessary.

We discourage travel around the city unless absolutely necessary. Portions of Main Street, 9th Place near Wilson Street, South Highland near 9th Place, Second Street near Linwood Street, and Broadway and Wilson are flooded and not passable. Please do not drive thru flooded areas.

If you have questions, please contact our 911 Center at 918-225-1212. They will be able to pass information along to you as it relates to the emergency shelter.

Please check back often for more information.
