The Gloucester Township Police Department continues to celebrate National EMS week by highlighting EMS equipment that is utilized by officers every day. The "Gator" is an all terrain vehicle equipped with a full trauma bag as well as a backboard. There is also room to allow a first responder to sit with the patient and provide essential medical treatment. It can be deployed at events and allows for a quick response in crowded locations.
Patrol vehicles are also equipped with a full medical bag, portable oxygen, defibrillator, and NARCAN. This equipment is vital in allowing officers to provide life saving treatment when needed.
