NOBLESVILLE, IN - On May 23, 2019 at approximately 1:49 a.m., police officers and firefighters from the Noblesville Police & Fire Departments responded to the area of 14500 SR 37 (Noblesville) in reference to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a rolled over vehicle. Officers and firefighters arrived on the scene a short time later and began to investigate.

Based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, it appears that a 2007 Hyundai Tribune was traveling southbound on SR 37 at a high rate of speed when it lost control in the 14500 block. Emergency responders located two (2) occupants entrapped in the vehicle and reported that the vehicle apparently rolled over several times before coming to a stop.

The driver of the Hyundai is identified as Christian C. Cooper, 28, of Noblesville, IN. Cooper was transported by ground ambulance to IU Health Methodist (Indianapolis) in serious condition.

The passenger of the Hyundai is identified as Cheyenne G. Demoss, 21, of Atlanta, IN. Demoss was also transported by ground ambulance to IU Health Methodist (Indianapolis) in serious condition.

Both occupants appear to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other occupants.

Investigators from the NPD Crash Reconstruction Unit were summons to the scene to collect evidence and gather information. As a result of the investigation, the southbound lanes of SR 37 were restricted/closed between 146th and 141th Street until approximately 5:30 a.m.

Investigators have determined that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash and a charge(s) will be forthcoming.
