3 injured in crash

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that at 1703 on 5/24/19, his office was called to Dailey Rd and Peavine st for a 2 car crash. 79 year old Niles resident, Sharon Kay Hansell, was East Bound on Peavine st when she failed to stop at the signed intersection and colliding with a North Bound vehicle. This vehicle was driven by 35 year old Dowagiac resident Vicki Dixon. Ms. Dixon and her passenger, 7 year old Sierra Grove, were transported by ambulance to Borgess Lee Hospital for treatment. Ms. Hansell was transported by ambulance to Lakeland Hospital in Niles for treatment. Seat belt were used and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. This case remains under investigation
