Transformer fire results in power outage 
A transformer fire on state route 94 near Johnson Road has caused power outages on the northeast side of town including Surrey Meadows and parts of the village of Chester. Orange and Rockland Utilities has been notified and will be making the necessary repairs as soon as possible.
Instructions:
Use caution at intersections as traffic lights may not be functioning properly. Use flashlights instead of candles for light.
