Incident: Fentanyl Sales Arrest

Suspect(s): Monica Solorio
On May 27, 2019, at 10:50 PM, a Petaluma Police Department Officer was conducting routine patrol in the 300 block of 5th Street when he observed an occupied suspicious vehicle.
As the officer contacted the occupants of the vehicle, a male passenger exited and began to walk away. The officer recognized the male from a prior arrest and identified him as being on probation with search terms. The female driver, identified as Monica Solorio, was then contacted in the driver seat. Through the officer’s investigation, Solorio was found to be in possession of fentanyl.
A subsequent search of the vehicle, with assistance from K-9 Jimmy, revealed approximately 102 grams suspected fentanyl, illegal prescription medications, digital scales, and over $3,000.00.
Solorio was later transported and booked into Sonoma County Jail for multiple drug related offenses.
