SLO PD arrests 30 year old Leodejesus Neri for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Threats, and False Imprisonment.

WHAT: Arrest of 30-year-old Leo Dejesus Neri

On Saturday morning May 25, 2019 at approximately 6:00 am, San Luis Obispo Police Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Fairview in the City of San Luis Obispo for the sounds of someone screaming for help. Callers said they heard a female screaming that someone was going to hurt her, and reported a male pointing a gun at her inside the residence.
When officers arrived, they found a hysterical female victim outside the residence. The victim told officers she was at Neri’s residence after responding to her online Escort service advertisement. The victim told officers Neri became angry after a disagreement and she decided to leave. When he realized she was going to leave, Neri retrieved a handgun and threatened her. The victim said she was able to run out of the residence and began screaming for help. She was not injured during this incident.
Officers contacted Neri outside his residence and took him into custody without incident. SLO PD Detectives obtained a search warrant for Neri’s residence and conducted the search later that morning. A handgun and other items of evidence were located during the search. Neri was later booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail with his bail set at $100,000.00. He was booked for the following charges.
