Northern Pottawatomie County in northeastern Kansas...
Nemaha County in northeastern Kansas...
Northern Jackson County in northeastern Kansas...
Brown County in northeastern Kansas...
Southeastern Marshall County in northeastern Kansas...
* Until 1030 PM CDT.
* At 736 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms with heavy rain over the area. The rain will cause
flooding. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. This
flood warning will take the place of the previous Flash Flood
Warning over the area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Holton, Hiawatha, Sabetha, Seneca, Horton, Blaine, Frankfort,
Onaga, Centralia, Axtell, Wetmore, Everest, Fairview, Robinson,
Morrill, Whiting, Circleville, Bern, Corning and Netawaka.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
