Road Project Information

Construction Updates:
Springfield Pike
The contractor continues the curb removal/installation roadway base and driveway aprons  in the north bound curb lane.  They are scheduled begin placing the base asphalt in the north bound curb lane on June 10th (they will be working from the south corps line to the north).  Also the week of June 10th they will begin removing the curb in the southbound curb lane from Jewett Drive the south corps line. 
They continue the installation of the pedestals for the new traffic signal mast arms.
 Nixle notification updates will be given if for street closures and changes to the schedule that effect traffic patterns.
Please note:   Homeowners will be notified when their driveway aprons will be replaced and where they will be able to park. 
There will be additional crews on site starting the week of June 10th to increase production and take advantage of anticipated drier weather
Starting the week of June 10th there will be single lane traffic both north and south bound from Jewett to the south corps line.

Ritchie Avenue
The contractor will continue with the street reconstruction; they are removing the old concrete street and subbase and placing the new stone subbase.
Duke’s contractor is scheduled to be on site next week to replace the damaged sidewalk from 151 Ritchie to Garden Circle.  
Residents east if 151 Ritchie will be notified of construction activity and we ask that you enter/exit your residence away from the construction activity as much as possible.    
It is recommended that if you live east of 151 Ritchie to use Sweatwater to go in/out of the subdivision.
Expect delays when traveling through the construction area.
We ask homeowners to please water the hydro-seeded areas for better grass germination and weed suppression.
 
Maple Avenue Bridge Replacement
          The contract for the bridge replacement has been awarded to Fred A. Nemann Company; the preconstruction meeting is scheduled for June 6th at 0900. Information on the construction schedule will be posted after the pre-com meeting.
 
Pendery, Beech and Worthington Street Improvements
          R. A. Miller will start the street improvement project the week of June3rd.  They will replace curbs and driveway aprons and mill/overlay the asphalt driving surface. Homeowners will be notified when construction will prevent them from using their driveways.
