Deputy responds to trespassing call and makes drug and firearm arrest 
Deputy Robert Watson of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Steven Wayne Rausch, 28, address listed as Joes Drive in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.
On Saturday, May 18, Watson responded to Mountain Crest Drive in Marion to a trespassing offense. He located Rausch on the scene and knew there had been reports of drug activity in that area.
A search of the suspect’s automobile turned up 8.6 grams of methamphetamine and a handgun.
