Jamaica-Winhall Road Reclaim Project
[Route 30 Road Reclaim and Paving]

PROJECT TYPE: Roadway construction
LOCATION: The Jamaica-Winhall road reclaim and paving project is located at the Vermont Route 30 and Vermont Route 100 N intersection in Jamaica and extends northerly for approximately nine miles to the intersection of VT 30 and VT 11 in Winhall.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Motorists and cyclists can expect alternating one-way traffic patterns in the area of active construction operations, and may encounter more than one operation throughout the project limits. Uniformed traffic officers and flaggers will be present to help direct the flow of traffic. The traveling public should plan on adding a few extra minutes to their travel time.
SPEED REDUCTION ZONE: The work zone speed reduction will be placed into effect next week throughout the project limits. The speed limit will be reduced from 50 mph to 40 mph for the duration of the project, and motorists should be aware that there are increased fines for speed violations within the construction zone.
Motorists are advised to reduce speeds when traveling over milled, reclaimed, and gravel surfaces.
SCOPE OF WORK: Construction activities this construction season will include continued drainage improvements, roadway reclaim, paving, some sidewalk and curb work, guardrail and road markings.
WORK SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF 6/10/19:
RECLAIM: Reclaim will resume next week
GRAVEL: Gravel operation in reclaimed areas will resume late next week.

Construction Update - Winhall & Manchester
Manchester-Peru-Winhall Paving Project
[Route 11 Paving]
DATE: Thursday, 6/6/19
PROJECT TYPE: Roadway construction
LOCATION: The Manchester-Peru paving project begins in the town of Manchester on Vermont Route 11 and extends easterly for approximately 9.5 miles to the town of Peru.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Motorists and cyclists can expect alternating one-way traffic patterns in the area of active construction operations, and may encounter more than one operation throughout the project limits. Uniformed traffic officers and flaggers will be present to help direct the flow of traffic. The traveling public should plan on adding a few extra minutes to their travel time.
SCOPE OF WORK: Construction activities include coarse milling and paving with a leveling course and a wearing course, pavement markings, guardrail and signage.
WORK SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF 6/10/19:
SIGNAGE: Construction signage is complete.
COLD PLANING: Cold Planning is tentatively scheduled to begin on 6/17/19.
SHOULDERS: Shoulder reconstruction and ditching is scheduled to begin on 6/10/19.
