Red Flag Warning tonight at 11pm through Sunday at 5pm for hills in Sonoma Co due to strong winds and low humidities.
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Sonoma County hills above 1,000 ft in elevation due to predicted strong winds and low humidities.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
The Sonoma County Fire District will have extra firefighters on duty during the Red Flag Warning event.
Please do your part to keep our communities safe. Monitor the weather by TV, radio, and internet. Be alert for smoke and call 911 to report any smoke or fire immediately. Keep a personal "Go Bag" ready in case you have to leave your home during a wildfire. Refrain from using any powered equipment, BBQ's, or fire pits during the Red Flag Warning event.
