Wilmington Police arrest man in burglary investigation

Wilmington Police have arrested a man caught with burglar tools exiting a vacant property.
 
On June 3 at approximately 2:07 p.m., a police officer on proactive patrol observed 32-year-old Sean McGlade exiting a vacant residence in the 1000 block of Park Place.
 
McGlade was found to be in possession of a hacksaw, crowbar, bolt cutters, a battery-operated headlamp, plyers, screwdrivers, wire cutters, a pocket knife and a box cutter. Upon further investigation, police found a board that had been removed from a first-floor window in the vacant unit.
 
McGlade was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with possession of burglar tools and criminal trespass (second degree). He was also found to have an active capias out of Delaware and an arrest warrant from an agency in Pennsylvania. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings on these and his outstanding charges.
