On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, around 8:20 P.M., a vehicle described as a dark colored Honda Accord was traveling westbound in the number 1 lane of Burbank Boulevard approaching Van Nuys Boulevard. The vehicle collided with a pedestrian walking southbound on the east crosswalk at the intersection of Burbank Boulevard and Van Nuys Boulevard. The driver failed to stop to render aid and/or identify self as required by law and fled the scene. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
