Construction Zone Speed Enforcement
On June 13th, 2019 Officers from the Winhall Police Department conducted speed enforcement along Route 30 in the construction zone. 6 operators were stopped for speed infractions. Multiple tickets and warnings were issued.
The Winhall Police would like to remind all operators that the speed limit along Route 30, starting at Route 11 to the Jamaica Town line, is reduced from 50 MPH to a posted 40 MPH zone and that speeding fines are doubled during construction. The speed limit in Bondville village is 30 MPH.
Please pay attention to the changing road surface and be aware of construction personnel and equipment in the roadway.
The Winhall Police Department is actively enforcing the reduced speed limits for the duration of the construction work being done in our area.
