***UPDATE***
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are investigating a deputy involved shooting which resulted in the injury of a male White adult. The incident occurred on June 14, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. on the 34000 block of 133rd Street East, Littlerock.
Detectives have learned that deputies attempted to contact a named suspect of a 10851 VC (driving a car without the owner’s consent) suspect.
As deputies attempted to contact the suspect, who was on foot, he ran away from the deputies. As he ran, the suspect produced a firearm from his clothing. After a foot pursuit, the suspect turned toward one of the deputies with the firearm in hand, at which time a deputy involved shooting occurred.
The suspect was struck once on the upper torso and was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect’s firearm was recovered at the scene. It was later determined to be a replica firearm. The involved deputies were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing, there is no additional information available at this time.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to assist Palmdale Sheriff’s Station with a deputy-involved shooting. The incident occurred on Friday, June 14, 2019, at approximately 7:00P.M., on 34000 Block 103rd Street East, Pearblossom.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital.
There is no additional information available at this time.
Whenever a deputy-involved shooting occurs involving Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies, and a person is struck by gunfire, multiple independent investigations immediately begin at the scene. These include separate investigations by the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau and Internal Affairs Bureau. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department immediately notifies the Office of the Inspector General who sends a representative to the incident scene and provides independent oversight throughout the investigative process. Once concluded, a preliminary review is conducted by the Critical Incident Review Panel to determine whether any immediate actions are warranted. Every aspect of the shooting is reviewed by the Sheriff's Executive Force Review Committee.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Justice System Integrity Division, conducts a legal analysis to determine whether any criminal charges will be filed and if the shooting was legally justified.
