Flood Watch
National Weather Service Wilmington OH
954 AM EDT Sat Jun 15 2019

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Indiana and Ohio, including the following areas,
in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette IN, Franklin IN, Ripley, Union
IN, and Wayne. In Ohio, Auglaize, Butler, Champaign, Clark,
Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette OH, Franklin OH,
Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison,
Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Shelby, Union OH,
and Warren.

* From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Sunday morning

* Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through
tonight, with repeated instances of heavy rain possible through
parts of the watch area. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches may
be possible in the most persistent thunderstorm activity, some
of which could fall over a short period of time. Isolated higher
amounts will be possible.

* The risk for flash flooding will increase after each round of
rainfall, particularly in poor drainage areas near creeks,
streams and ditches. Street flooding and rapid runoff will
cause area rivers and streams to rise, resulting in the
potential for some river flooding as well.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
