* Until 1030 PM CDT.

* At 947 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Farmington, or 11 miles north of Canton, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Peoria, Canton, Chillicothe, Farmington, Elmwood, Princeville, Dunlap, Cuba, Hanna City, Glasford, Trivoli, Brimfield, Yates City, St. David, Williamsfield, Fairview, Laura, Elmore, Kickapoo and Norwood. This includes the following highways... Interstate 474 between mile markers 0 and 2. Interstate 74 between mile markers 63 and 87.

Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This storm may cause serious injury and significant property damage. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding.
