On June 16, 2019, at 10:40am, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office received a report of three people that went into the Kern River at Keysville South. All three jumped into the river, only one was able to exit. The other two have not been seen since. They are two teenagers, 15-years-old and 19-years-old.
The Kern County Sheriffs Office, Kern Valley Search and Rescue, Kern County Fire Department have all participated in the search.
As it became dark, search efforts have been suspended and will resume at 8am on Monday.
