Heat Advisory until 07:00PM Friday
Unusually high humidity will continue across the area on Friday. A ridge of high pressure over the area will continue to keep temperatures above normal. This combination of above normal temperatures and humidity levels will produce well above normal heat indices. The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a Heat Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM to 7 PM CDT Friday.
* EVENT...Heat index values will peak in the 106 to 111 range during the afternoon hours.
* IMPACT...Increased risk of heat-related illnesses including Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke.

Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency - call 911.
