Officers with the Marion Police Department respond to early morning shooting. (click blue link for details.)
In the early morning hours of Saturday June 22, 2019, Officers with the Marion Police Department responded to 29 West Wilhemina Street (Marion), in reference to an assault. Officers located Len Anthony Gray (of the home) suffering from two gunshot wounds. Gray was transported to Mission Hospital in Asheville (by McDowell County EMS) for treatment of his injuries.
Criminal Investigators were called to the scene, and at the conclusion of this investigation, Inv. Travis Maltba charged Terri Gray (of the home) with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. Gray was placed into the custody of the McDowell County Jail.
At the time of this release, Len Anthony Gray’s injuries were deemed as non-life threatening, by Mission Hospital staff.
