Burn permit suspension in effect for entire Mat-Su incl burn barrels effective 9:00am today. 
All burn permits are suspended for the entire Matanuska and Susitna valleys due to dry conditions, current fire activity, and limited availability of firefighting resources regionally. This suspension includes all burn barrels. Campfires and cooking fires smaller than 3 ft in diameter and shorter than 3 ft tall are not suspended but following safe burning guidelines is mandatory.
