Shooting at the Ford Store Morgan Hill
On Tuesday evening, June 25 at 6:03pm the Morgan Hill Police Departments received a report of multiple shots fired inside the building of the Morgan Hill Ford Store on Condit Avenue.
Officers responded and arrived on scene at 6:07pm.
Upon their arrival at Ford Store, officers located a deceased male subject on the ground with what appeared to be a self -inflicted gunshot wound and a handgun by his side.
Officers secured the area where the male subject was located and were directed by Ford Store employees inside the building where two employees were found. The two employees were located on the floor and both had gun shot wounds. Medical aide responded and both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Ford Store building has been cleared and secured by police. There is no threat to the public.
Morgan Hill Police Department is the lead investigating agency and will be working with the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. Members from the Sheriff’s Department, CHP, CALFIRE Police, Morgan Hill Fire also responded and assisted at the on scene.
Morgan Hill Police is conducting and thorough and in-depth investigation and will be on scene for some time.
We ask for the publics patience as Condit Road continues to remain closed from Dunne to Diana. All residents in the area have access to their homes through other means. The only business currently impacted is La Quinta Hotel and its guests.
The City of Morgan Hill and the Morgan Hill Police Department offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims in this tragic incident.
