The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southeastern Vermilion County in east central Illinois...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 730 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of Danville, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Danville, Georgetown, Westville, Tilton, Belgium, Bismarck, Alvin and Vermilion County Airport. This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 210 and 220.

* AFFECTED AREAS: VERMILION, IL

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
