The Harris County Sheriff's Office to Host 'Celebratory Gunfire' Press Conference at the Harris County 911 Emergency Call Center
What: Harris County officials will be hosting a press conference to address ‘celebratory gunfire’ for the July 4th holiday. Celebratory gunfire i.e. indiscriminately firing a weapon is carelessly dangerous and an issue during the holiday and days leading up to it. Crime Stoppers of Houston will accept tips regarding celebratory gunfire and will pay the standard cash reward of up to $5,000 when a suspect is identified and/or charged.
