Witnesses observed the fleeing suspects enter a vehicle and were able to provide officers with their observations. Equipped with this information, Torrance Patrol Officers searched the area and ultimately found the vehicle. The suspects led officers on a short vehicle pursuit and eventually stopped after their vehicle was involved in a minor collision. The suspects, 18-year-old Jeffrey Wright from Los Angeles, 18- year-old Aaron Flenoy from Inglewood, 20-year-old Ahmad Jones from Los Angeles, and a 16-year-old male from Los Angeles were identified and arrested for Conspiracy and Robbery.
The Torrance Fire Department responded to Nordstrom and treated several people for pepper spray exposure. Two of the individuals were later transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The Torrance Fire Department also responded to the traffic collision and treated the involved motorists for minor injuries.
Nordstrom Robbery Arrests
On Monday, July 01, 2019, at about 3:45 PM, Torrance Police Officers responded to the Nordstrom located at 21500 Hawthorne Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. Officers discovered the suspects were stealing purses from the store and utilized pepper spray in the commission of the theft.
