Flash Flood Warning until 10:45PM

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Henry County in east central Indiana...

* Until 1045 PM EDT.

* At 738 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area...with estimates exceeding 3 inches of rain since 5 pm EDT to the northeast of New Castle. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Castle, Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Mount Summit and Summit Lake State Park.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HENRY, IN

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
