Marion man charged with discharging firearm to incite fear 
Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Timothy Lee Westmoreland, 55, address listed as Lilac Drive in Marion, with discharging a firearm to incite fear.
Jeffrey Laws reported on Wednesday, June 12 that someone fired shots near his home on Nix Creek Road in Marion. An investigation led to Westmoreland, who was involved in a domestic dispute with a friend of Laws’ daughter.
Reports show that several shots were fired at the Laws home on multiple occasions over two weeks.
