Flash Flood Warning for Custer County, Powder River and lower Mizpha area.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of south central Montana and
southeast Montana, including Custer County.   Four inches of rain has been observed in Lower Mizpah area and the Powder River area. Rain fall is expected to increase through the evening. 
 
* Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms will produce areas of heavy
  rain today through this evening. Some locations will likely see
  between one and two inches of rain, with localized higher amounts
  possible. This could lead to flash flooding of streams and low
  lying areas. Some rural roads could become impassable.

* Please do not drive on flooded roads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
Please monitor local weather forecasts.

This is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. Do not drive on flooded roads. Be prepared to take precautionary steps to move to higher ground if safe to do so.
