Another earthquake occurred at approx 8:20 pm today.  It was reported to be 7.1 magnitude but soon reduced to 6.9 magnitude.  It was centered near the Ridgecrest area.

Currently, there are no reports of outages, damages or injuries in the City of Redondo Beach.  The police and fire department are monitoring the incident.  Please call (310) 379-5411 to report any City damage. 

This event is a good reminder to maintain an earthquake kit, i.e. food, supplies, etc.
