Synopsis: A 68 year old male pedestrian and a 45 year old female driver in her 2016 Dodge Journey were in the driveway of a Shell gas station on the south side of 300 E. San Ysidro Blvd. The driver was facing north and she intended to make a left turn to westbound E. San Ysidro Blvd. The pedestrian intended to cross the street from south to north. Both proceeded at the same time and the driver hit the pedestrian in the simulated island making a left turn. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Fault yet to be determined. No DUI. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
