HPD is reporting that most of the traffic lights have been restored. The cause of the outage or malfunction according to a HELCO spokesperson was a rolling black out and not a power surge as reported earlier.
The public's patience was appreciated while crews worked to remedy the situation. Please continue to drive with care as there is still reminents from "Barbara" that are impacting the Big Island.
