Culvert rehabilitation on VT30, MM 0.28.
Work proposed for this project involves the removal and replacement of an existing 30-inch corrugated metal pipe culvert, which carries an unnamed stream under VT Route 30, with a concrete reinforced box culvert. The existing culvert invert has deteriorated and there are areas of separation along the length of the pipe.
A stone laid headwall at the outlet of the pipe has failed and fallen into the stream causing slope stability issues that are encroaching toward the shoulder of VT Route 30.
A 3-day closure is proposed within the timeframe of July 19th to July 29th to allow the contractor full access to the roadway as spatial and resource constraints limit the available space to complete the work. The closure period will begin at 6:00pm on a Friday and shall open prior to 6:00am the following Monday.
Traffic will be detoured utilizing VT Route 11 and VT Route 100.
Closures:
•VT-30 will be closed for 3 days between July 19, 2019 and July 29, 2019.
