Emergency PSE&G work Witherspoon Street
Emergency PSE&G work Witherspoon Street 
We have been advised by PSE&G that they experienced a major electrical equipment failure that requires immediate repair on Witherspoon Street. The work is expected to commence at 2 pm and will require the closure of one lane of Witherspoon Street (northbound-from Nassau St to Hulfish Street) from 2 pm until approximately 8 am tomorrow morning.
There are no reported power outages yet, however PSE&G is concerned if the work is not completed there could be customers who lose power.
The Lights for Liberty event scheduled for this evening in Hinds Plaza is expected to draw a large crowd; attendees are encouraged to park in satellite locations as Witherspoon Street will be extremely congested with vehicles/construction. The Spring Street garage should be accessed via Wiggins Street, and attendees are also encouraged to park in appropriately marked spots on residential streets and walk to the event.
