UPDATE: Saturday, July 13, 11:15 AM - Water service has been restored to all customers on Serra Road and Sweetwater Mesa Road. Los Angeles County Public Works staff was able to repair the affected Waterworks District pump station and it is now operating on a portable generator which will be secured in place until Edison power is restored to the area.  Customers have been informed that they may resume normal water use.  There will be no further updates on this matter.

Saturday, July 13, 7:45 AM - The electrical service for LA County Waterworks District's pump station serving customers on Serra Rd and Sweetwater Mesa Rd was damaged. Southern California  Edison (SCE) crews are in the process of making repairs, and LA County Public Works staff are in the process of installing an auxiliary pump station to keep water flowing into these areas.  

Customers may experience low water pressure until repairs are completed. All customers on Serra Rd and Sweetwater Mesa Rd have been notified and are requested to limit their water use so that there will be water for essential needs today until the problem can be mitigated. LA County Waterworks will provide updates to customers via email and Nextdoor or they may call the LA County Public Works Dispatch center for updates at 800-675-4357.
