Two suspects wanted for grand theft surrendered at Yucaipa Sheriff's Station

LOCATION: 1700 block of Mentone Blvd, Mentone
SUSPECT(S): Ruben Gutierrez, 18 years old, resident of Redlands
Vinny Hernandez, 23 years old, resident of Redlands
VICTIM: Arco AM/PM
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, July 14, 2019 at approximately 1:00 a.m., three unknown suspects stole a vending machine located at the Arco AM/PM Gas Station. The value of the machine and the cash inside was estimated at about $1200. Video surveillance captured the incident, the suspects and the suspect vehicle.
During their investigation, deputies identified two of the suspects as Vinny Hernandez and Ruben Gutierrez, both residents of Redlands, and obtained a search warrant for the suspects' residence. During a search of their residence pursuant to the warrant, the vending machine was recovered and returned to it’s rightful owner. Neither suspect was home at the time the warrant was served.
On July 15, 2019, Gutierrez and Hernandez turned themselves in at the Yucaipa Sheriff's Station. Both were booked into Central Detention Center with bail set at $50,000.
