Mosquito Spraying tonight, July 18, 2019, for Auble and Cemetery Roads in Knowlton Twp.
The Warren County Mosquito Control Commission is planning to perform a limited, targeted adult mosquito treatment in Knowlton Township today, Thursday, July 18, 2019 between 8:00 pm and 11:30 pm, weather permitting. (The rain date is 7/22/19.)
The following areas will be targeted: Auble Road and Cemetery Road
An adult mosquito insecticide will be sprayed by Ultra-low volume (ULV) truck-mounted sprayer. The product being applied is: Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg # 2724-807) Active Ingredient Etofenprox.
Trucks are clearly marked as mosquito control vehicles. Applications are limited and targeted to areas of high populations of nuisance and West Nile virus positive mosquitoes. Due to the ultra-low volume technology, residential exposure is very low. If residents prefer to stay inside and close windows and doors when spraying takes place they can, out of an abundance of precaution, but it is not necessary. The spray does not harm pets, but residents may choose to bring them inside while the spraying occurs.
