Several streets will be closed or have detours in place in the north end of the city for the Surf & Sand 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk starting at 8:30 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Police Officers will be assigned to traffic posts throughout the route to assist motorists.
Expect road closures/detours on the following streets: JFK Beach Drive, 2nd, 1st, Ocean, Surf, Atlantic, Central, Chestnut, Walnut and Olde New Jersey Avenues. Bicyclists and pedestrians are also advised to be aware of runners turning around on the course in the area of the street end of 15th Avenue next to Beach Patrol HQ.
