Due to the extreme heat, the Helm Life Center will be serving as a public cooling center from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. today for residents of Harper Woods and the Grosse Pointes over the age of 60 and their immediate families. The Helm Life Center in located at 158 Ridge Road in Grosse Pointe Farms.
