Southwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois...
Southern Grundy County in northeastern Illinois...
Central Kankakee County in northeastern Illinois...
* Until 345 PM CDT.
* At 1250 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated very heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Rainfall rates of over 2 inches per hour are likely
with these storms. Isolated rainfall totals of up to 4 inches is
possible. Runoff from this heavy rain will cause minor flooding in
the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kankakee, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Manteno, Dwight, Peotone,
Braidwood, Coal City, Diamond, Gardner, Mazon, Braceville, Lakewood
Shores, Essex, South Wilmington, Godley, Sun River Terrace,
Bonfield, Verona and Reddick.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
